And The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon

What a lovely sunny day to celebrate the first year of the prettiest coffee shop in Manchester, And The Dish Ran Away with the Spoon.

If you ask me, there is not one single thing to change about this place! The cupcakes are simply delicious and ridiculously pretty, a large selection of coffee and tea to satisfy the pickiest customers, and an absolutely adorable and friendly staff too!

They also propose afternoon tea parties, and cupcake decorating classes!(http://www.dishandspoonfood.co.uk/)

AND all these pieces of heaven come at a very little price too!! Now I'm happy :-)

Marie Louise Gardens, Didsbury, Manchester

This is definitelty one of my favourite place in Manchester. There is this unique peaceful feeling, full of History and souvenirs. It is like a secret hidden place, and a lot of locals do not even know the existence of the gardens.

Find out more about the Marie Louise Gardens on its beautiful website:

Raspberry and Chocolate Cheescake

My first ever Cheesecake!

Ingredients:

  • 180g digestive biscuits7

  • 75g melted butter

  • 100g milk chocolate

  • 300g cream cheese

  • 200ml double cream

  • 75g sugar

  • 150g raspberries

  • Crumble the digestives in a food processor, add the melted butter and mix well. Place in a 20cm flan ring with a push-up base and pat down with the back of a spoon. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or a glass bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Mix the cream cheese, cream and sugar together until smooth. Add the raspberries and stir in, then add the melted chocolate and quickly swirl through. Spoon into the flan ring and smooth the top with a palette knife, then place in the fridge and chill for 2 hours. Serve dusted with icing sugar and a little melted chocolate if you like.

    The Art of Raclette

Raclette is a dish indigenous to parts of Switzerland and the Savoy region of France. The Raclette cheese round is heated, either in front of a fire or by a special machine, then scraped onto diners' plates. Traditionally, it is accompanied by small firm potatoes, gherkins, pickled onions, and dried meat, such as jambon cru/cuit and viande des Grisons.
